Finding
Mevagissey is simple:
Once
heading towards the West Country leave the M5 at junction
31, joining the A30 towards Exeter.
Stay on the A30 for 71 miles
Take the A391 South towards St. Austell
From St. Austell take the B3273 to Mevagissey
Once
in Mevagissey follow the one way system through the village,
follow the signs to Portmellon. DO NOT turn right at the
Ship Inn as this will take you back into the one way system.
Continue straight ahead (it is two way here!) along Fore
Street and up Polkirt Hill. Wild Air is on top of the hill,
on the right, opposite the turning bay. FREE parking is
included, please un-hook the chain in one of the marked
spaces and park, now you can relax!
If
you prefer not to drive through the narrow streets of Mevagissey,
once you have gone past Pentewan campsite and up the winding
hill you reach the cross roads before descending into Mevagissey,
turn to the right following signpost towards Lost Gardens
of Heligan and Gorran Haven. Follow this road for approx
5 miles through the village of Gorran, then carry on towards
Portmellon, from there follow the sign to Mevagissey, once
you see the large houses lined up along Polkirt facing the
sea continue along this road until you see the car turning
space on you right hand side, Wild Air is opposite overlooking
the harbour and before the descent down Polkirt Hill.
Alternatively
enter PL26 6UX into you sat nav!
